 Um. Slightly OT. Reptile show

Hey all i know i havent been on in forever and a friggin day but i was wondering if anyone was going to the show in Sac on the 13th and 14th? I was going to hopefully get a blood and some bulk f/t rats. Does anyone know what the going price for a baby blood python is?

Any knowledge is appreciated

 Reptile show question

My sons and I will be at the Sacramento Reptile show on Saturday morning - hopefully before all the cool herps get sold! Just look for the bald guy with the goatee and two scrawny teenage boys towering over him (LOL). I paid $100 for my Python Curtis when he was three months old (I waited until he was an established feeder). I may have been lucky, but he switched to f/t rats immediately.

Will this be your first blood python? If so, remember that their husbandry is a bit more difficult than say ball pythons. The humidity has to be controlled better (and higher), and bloods tend to get dried out if you handle them even for short periods (after half an hour of handling, mine heads straight for his tub). They can also be tempermental, but they are undoubtedly attention-getters when you have company!

 Reptile show question

Ok thats what i was thinking. Yea me and my buddy are headed out there bright and early. This is my first blood python. I have studied them extensively and yea they prefer very humid habitats. I understand they also like to burrow? I’m used to tempermental critters and look forward to maybe a feisty one

I live in Yuba City, so if you wanted to swing by and check out Crunch and his enclosure, just let me know.

 Reptile show question

If you are interested in obtaining a 10-month old blood python (python curtis), let me know. I sent you an e-mail on this site with my phone number and address. I have an opportunity to acquire a nice pastel ball python, and don’t have room for both. This may be a better option than for you to pick up a juvenile blood at the Reptile Show at about the same price.
