 Strange shed

My snake is going through his shed currently, but it has not been like his other ones. his last shed came off in two big pieces, and this one it seems like he just hasn’t put any effort in removing it. His temperature and humidity have been fantastic, and I shot the humidity up when it was obvious it was about to come off. I have him soaking right now and he is doing great, it just seems strange because it looks as if I could just take the shed off in one piece right now haha, obviously I’ll let him do it, but I was wondering if anyone has came across something like this. I’m assuming he will get it off tonight. That is if he decides he wants to get it off.

Mikey,

Marle has given me a few sheds I consider weird. I think her worst was when I didn’t have the humidty right. She was wearing her old skin like a tube sock. You sound as if you got everything under control. However, if I may, just one thing. Are you bumping the humidity only once he’s ready to shed or throughout the entire process? If carnage will hold still, then you can peel loose pieces of skin of him with no ill effects. Just don’t force it, if it won’t come off easily, then don’t tug at it. I’m sure he’ll be fine. If you’re soaking him, then he should work off everything in a day or two...Congrats on him. Those pics of him earlier were gorgeous.

I bump the humidity up as soon as it becomes apparent that he is going into "shed", and would likely refuse food. But he got it off himself last night, and looks great. Thanks for everything, and i will post some new pictures asap!

my male ball python has done that twice and i took the spray bottle and filled it with hot water and put it on mist so when it comes out its a little worm and mist-ted him down and within an hour or two he started taking it off and both times it came off in one long strip like normal
