 Blood breeding

is it okay to leave my male and female bloods in the same enclosure if it is large enough for 2 snakes.

If you’re attempting to breed them then yes you can leave them together. At all other times they should be seperated. Also you’re probably gonna have trouble with that now considering that their breeding season is typically from November to March. However, if you do somehow successfully breed, I’d be real interested in hearing how you did it.

Gotcha. You ought to pm Crisco for advice. She’s the only one here off the top of my head that I know has bred bloods. I haven’t yet attempted it.

VPI (VPI.com)and NERD (Bloodpythons(dot)com I believe that’s the NERD offshoot but could be wrong) both sell bloods. They have normals. However, they produce very fine captive bred stock so you’re going to have to expect to pay a little more. I’d say their prices range from about 150-700 dollars. Bob Clark (bobclark.com) also has bloods at around 125 I believe. I may have been accidentally looking at the wrong pricelist. Two other websites you can check out are reptile guru at reptileguru.com and the bloodline at bloodline.net they sell bloods as well. I’m sure there’s more but I don’t know of them. Happy hunting.

Ok, reread your last post. Has your nephew kept snakes before? I understand that you want to get him something nice and unique for his birthday, but a blood isn’t really a beginner snake. Forgive me if I seem to cautionary, but that’s something to consider.

We’ve got 52 of them at present and that many more eggs in the cooker, their not ready for homes as of yet but will be after enough meals..Our page is serpentim.com, and we will be the price leader due to economic times..
