New guy coming 2mor! Well I have a brongersmai who I love named Carnage, and I wanted to get another snake, I ended up getting a boa. Shortly after I realized he was a great snake, but I didn’t love him like I loved the blood. So I found him a good home and ended up selling him. Long story short, I have a c. curtus (black) coming tomorrow! I can’t wait, his name is going to be Toxin. I’ll get pics of them up asap! If anyone has any advice on the blacks I would love to hear it if they have had any different experiences from the reds. Thanks!!!

New guy coming 2mor! Mikey, sorry Crush had to go but congrats on the new blood. Although I haven’t owned them yet, care should be identical to the one you have.

New guy coming 2mor! Well, the Black Blood I received was your "stereotypical" blood thirsty extremely aggressive blood python. Which the seller decided to leave out. An absolutely beautiful 07 male, but also about the most pissed off snake I have ever seen/held. I will unfortunately be sending him back and my search will continue. As soon as I even came close to him he got me once. Then I let him out of the bag and if I came within 5 ft of him he would strike. I let him settle for a cpl. days and tried my luck again. One strike after another. I geared up and picked him up and after he couldn’t bite me he then stopped striking. I set him down for a few minutes and went to pick him up again and BAM grabbed onto my finger and started coiling around me, with no intention of letting go. So basically I then ran hot water over him and he finally let go, and left me a present of a tooth in me. So after that I realized he had to go. Its unfortunate, but I don’t blame the snake, I now have found out it was never handled whatsoever, with exclusion of moving it to clean its tub.

New guy coming 2mor! Mikey I’m so sorry you had a bad experience with your snake. I hope this doesn’t sour you on bloods. I’m kind of curious to know who your seller was so that I never have the misfortune of dealing with him. I’d be willing to bet that your snake was a wild caught specimen as well.

New guy coming 2mor! Oh it hasn’t changed my mind about the snakes at all. They are easily still my favorite snakes out there, and the exciting thing is that I’m back on the market to get another one!! haha. I’m looking at getting a black or a borneo. I’m curious does anyone know if it is possible to breed a red sumatran with a borneo or black. I’m just wondering.

New guy coming 2mor! Since they’re in the same family I’m quite sure they can interbreed. However, I am not sure which parent the offspring would take after.
