 Hopefully getting a Blood

Well my mom made a deal with me that I might be able to get a Blood (though probably not for about a month or two) and I’m really hoping to get a Red. I have BPs right now but I have worked with baby Bloods at the pet store I used to volunteer at. I read a couple sites but I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good site for care (I know how the care sheets vary from site to site.)
Thankies for the help in advance. ^.^

NERD has a reputable site for blood care. Although I personally disagree with their recommendations on a hotspot.

How do you do yours? Kara Glasgow from bloodpythonsdotcom keeps her babies/juvies at an ambient temp of 82F without a basking spot.

Rich Crowley, a reputable blood breeder, has an extensive caresheet that can be downloaded from his website.

Dennis,

Kara if I’m not mistaken is with NERD and yes, I like/agree with her baby/juvi temps, although for the record I do believe in providing them with a hotspot just in case. But I think that is a case of preference. When I said I disagree with NERDs hotspot recommendation, I was talking about older, adult bloods. I should have specifically stated that, so thank you for correcting me.
Regarding the hotspot. I like my hotspot toi be 88 degrees. But upon rereading their caresheet I think our differences are minimal. It’s certainly not a case of 88 degrees = perfect health and 87 degrees = certain death. The point is, bloods (older bloods) should have a hot spot in the upper 80’s just in case they require it.

And thanks for the link to Crowleys website. I haven’t heard of him and will definitely read it over, Thanks Dennis.

No problem. I think he’s mainly known for producing Borneo short tails. He’s around quite a bit on Kara’s blood python forum, definitely a site worth checking out. : )
