 Breeding ??

i was wondering if it was posible to breed pythons out of breeding season. if you get the light and the temp and the humidity just right could it be done. because i get my male in febuary or march.

What species? some species are more sensitive in terms of breeding that others, but it shouldn’t be a problem, especially if its with an easily bred species such as a Ball Python or an Antaresia spp.. Its generally the cooler or dryer period that stimulates breeding in wild pythons, and that can be replicated in captivity regardless of the season. BE CAREFUL though, that your female has enough fat reserves to successfully lay, inadequate energy stores can mean she won’t survive the pregnancy. For that reason it is good to have a set breeding period each year so a female isn’t overbred.
