Building a rack I am interested in building a rack for my ball pythons I like the rubbermaid 54 gallon one I believe it is 36x18 but I have a couple of questions first how do you heat them? Do you simply put a heat tape on each tub? And what about light do they really do ok in the dark all day? Any help would be great

Building a rack put heat tape under each tub, or get one long strip that you can waeve in and out to use for each. They love the dark too. Why is this forum so dead, even in the middle of the season?

Building a rack You could get by with building a rack using 41qt sterlite tubs. Ball pythons like tighter caging anyhow, we keep ours in 41qt tubs and they do amazingly well, they feed, breed and do all the normal activity. There are many ways to put together a rack unit depends on how many you wish to house and how fancy you want it . Here are pics of our 28qt racks with heat tape along the backside.

Building a rack extreme bump here. but im trying to build a rack as well for a little ball bredding project and im new to it but it just amazes me how they can go through all the normal life cycles strictly off the heat tape and being in the dark all day? that has never seen apparent to me. correct me if im wrong.
