 Ball breeding substrate

Hi, I want to start breeding my balls soon. Im gonna build my incubator in a few weeks for leos. but ill build another one for my balls after. After the male has be introduced and removed and i know she is gravid, what substrate should she be on to lay? does she need a laying box? I have her on aspen right now but do i need to change her to anything else?

Every one has there own methods but it just depends. If you check on the the girl often in the near laying time aspen is fine. The problem is that aspen does not hold humidity well. What I do if I am not going to be watching or waiting on due date is either add a nesting box with damp moss or change an area of the bedding to something that holds moisture better like coconut fiber or bed a beast.
