i baught a regular ball python at petsmart and have had it for a year and i know for sure its a male. but just recently i adopted a 9 yr old ball. i dont know if it is a female or not. any ways i can tell? i cant go to vet and dont know how to probe.

You can go to a pet shop that deals with reptiles and ask them to probe it or "pop" it.

ive done research on how to sex a snake and they all say the "popping" the older balls is very risky and may cause prolapse
