Hey all Just wanted to update you on Boots, not sure if you remember my first post at the end on november I believe it was,But anyways he was on the aggresive side when we first got him he was never held b4 we got him, when we got him he was about 2 1/2ft he isnt much bigger length wise but he is a little rounder since we have had him he has gone from 2 x-large mice to small rats which he just loves he refuses to eat live which is no prob for my hubby he feeds the frozen I wont lol personal opinion anyways I just thought I would show a pic on how calm we have gotten him since when we started it took about a week or so to get him from striking at us and the glass and another week to stop the hissing I hope you enjoy the pics the feeding pics are from last night.

This is the night we got him.

This is about 3 days ago our youngest daughter dressed herself and pounded her Hot Chocolate back to beable to have a pic taken with Boots

And here are some feeding pics from last night hope they are in order lol

I no this is old but you have to tell me how long it took him to tame down. my burms a lil grumpy himself. he’s 1mth old not even 2ft. when i puchased him he was calm then ofcourse i took him home put him under that heat gave him about 4 days to rest and when i went to go pick him up I thought he had RI. then I soon realized he was hissing at me. So im gonna work with him and hopefully one day he’ll be so tame that i can take him to schools or something to teach ppl about large snakes
takecare

I would say about 2-3 weeks or so Every night other then feeding nights, I started off by just going into the room he was quarantined in and just watch him his movements and how he would get before striking, then I just started going in and adjusting his mulch at the time and then I started picking him up in short intervals now he is great he is about 9 months old and 5 feet big baby hiss’s the odd time when we go in to get him but never strikes but we also respect him when he goes to push us away we let him be , Don’t give up on yours in no time he will calm right down if you are concerned about getting tagged where a glove until you feel you are comfortable with holding him!! Here are some pics taken Yesterday
