 Albino burm?, help

Does anyone know where I can get a albino burm, around 4ft? I’ve been calling all the pet stores in the area and they don’t have any. Are there any places I could call and or order from that you guys know are pretty good? Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Megan

Why 4ft? It’s usually easier to get hatching’s. Where are you located?

I want a good size, plus I have a big cage and I don’t want to stress a baby by putting it in a huge cage. I’m in Long Beach, California.

PERSONALLY, i dont buy the whole "big cages stress them out thing"...it’ll grow FAST, so you’ll need to have a large cage anyway-good luck

Again, where are you located?

 Albino burm?, help

Long Beach California. I got a "baby"(about 8 months) male about 2 months ago from my boss. He was exactly 3 feet when I got him and now he’s about 44.5" and feeding on 2 medium rats a week. Sunny(his name) is by far, the calmest burm I have ever handled. Im still looking for a female ablino around 4’-6’as I am hoping to breed them in a couple years. I will try kingsnake.com as a couple of you have suggested. I appreciate your help in helping me find a burm. Thanx again!

Believe me, just because they grow fast does not mean one can’t get stressed out by a cage that is too big. Raise enough babby burms and you will see it can occur.

Contact the member BenR from here. he’s in Cali and might have something. If not, he may have or know someone that will have some this year.

I have albinos due to hatch out in the next few days, and should be ready to ship in a few weeks. If you’re interested, send me a pm and we can take it from there.

Thank you Bebos-burms, I will try and talk to him soon. Alf I would try and get one from you but my male is already almost 4 feet and I wanted a female that is a foot ot two bigger than my male so I can hopefully breed them soon. I believe if I get a baby female she wont be large enough in a couple years to breed.....But if you have a larger female you are willing to sell, Id be interested in her.

Hey Megan,

Having a large enclosure and using it for a hatchling of any kind is stressful to a degree. If you fill the enclosure with hiding places and enough stuff to cover most of the room in the enclosure it can decrease this. It’ll seek hiding spots throughout the enclosure where ever you have them. Just make sure you have enough and this won’t be a problem. Perhaps place 2 water dishes in the enclosure as well as 2 basking spots. Gradually as it gets larger you can reduce the amount of dishes, hides and what else have you.

Of course if you give it a large enclosure with a lot of room, one hide on one side of the enclosure and one on the other it will be more stressed. Fill it up and see what happens. Give it options and it’ll be fine. Should you go another route then good luck to you either way.
