 Is my snake overweight?

Can snake be overweight? If so, is 140 lbs. overweight for a 10’5" Burmese Python?

a picture of ur snake would help but can you see flesh between scales if so he is over weight 140 seems alot for a 10 ft snake but every snake is different

no pics needed 140lbs is very much over weight for a 10ft burm here is a old pic of fantasy at 15 ft and 110lbs.

did you weigh your snake or are you guessing??? when you guess it’s kinda hard to be accurate because they can feel heavier then what they really are.

my 11ft burm weighs 70 so 110 would be really overweight. and if you need a scale you can find shipping scales on ebay i got one that weighs up to 250 pounds for $40...you may want to look into one..

Thats a good looking burm burmlover. I was just wondering, do you have a hide in her tank? Looks like theres only a water bowl. I don’t know much about burms but i know they need a place to hide.

all she has is the water bowl with the bigger snakes most people just cover part of the tank. but it really depends on the person and the snake. i use hides with all my baby snakes until they are about 8ft.

yea i did the same thing but my burm stop using his hide when he got about 5 1/2 foot so i took it out to give him more room and ive been told that once they get a little big they dont feel threatend anymore and dont usually hide anymore.
