Feeding queston help 
I have a 5’4’’ burm and i feed it a medium size rat a week and was wondering how often he should be fed. i ask because he bit me today and its out of character never had probloms before. usually handles great.

how often do handle him? if your just feeding him all the time with out picking him up that’s what happens. also you might not want to feed him in where he sleeps try putting him in the tub to feed. don’t give up on just one bite he just needs a little work that’s all. i have a albino about that size i feed him lg rats but i also handle him a lot. every week is good! well i hope i was a big help to you........good luck---------josh

no im not gonna give up over one bite im just trying to figure out what caused this. i handle him daily except when feeding.

No pink belly or milky eyes? Mine tried to get me ounce when he was in shed and I was taking some water out of his tub (too full, didn’t want it all over the cage when he got in) That was about a year and a half ago though. If it’s not that, and you didn’t smell like food or anything, there might not be an explination.
Snakes can have off days just like us, haha.
