Depends on the burm. Some can be picky eaters some will eat you out of home. It also depends on his genetics. Ive seen them get 10 feet+ in there first year. But most healthy burms will reach around 7-8 feet in there first year.

yea i have a albino burm that i got when it was about 3 months old and it was fairly small for its age due to under feeding and small tank size but since Ive got him about 11 months ago he has gone from about two feet in length ( i could hold him in one hand easily) to now he is about 7 1/2 to 8 foot long. i feed him two jumbo’s a week and some times he eats another large or maybe two rats depending on if my red tails eat so they can def put some food away. so i would def say that mine isn’t a picky eater.

i have a male normal and was small for the longest time and then just recently hit a growth spurt he is almost 3 now and is still only 7 feet. Depends on the snake mine are fed every week on a normal schedule and just happened to grow at a slow rate.

Snakeman your snake is fine for his age as long as he is not obese. I have a 3 year old female green anaconda that is only 5 feet. She was just a picky eater the first year of her life. I have a three year old albino green burm that is going on 15 feet now. Once my snakes hit 12 feet I dont really notice them grow anymore I jsut bring them out about every 6 months and take a new measurement on them.

he is def not obese i was concerned about that before and i was told that as long as you cant see in between his scales he was alright which the only time you can see in between his scales is where his food is at but he does seem to be rather large for a one year and two month old male but i guess its his genes maybe he was breed from big parents. and the fact that he eats like a horse probably doesn’t help any. so at this rate what would your guess be on how big he will get because i know male’s usually only average around ten feet but the way hes going he seems like he is going to pass that mark.
