 I have a question.

The only reason I ask is because you lose a bit of humidity due to the screen top. You could zip tie or tape a piece of cardboard or construction paper to the screen to increase humidity.

 I have a question.

I had a burmese python that had developed a RI two years ago, and I had hit the forums for help. Not saying that the forum is a bad place to look because there is great info there. I saw the raise temp/lower humidity in quite a few places myself. I dropped the humidity down and raised temps, and the burm went from blowing clear bubbles out of the nostrils to hacking up a greenish, thick mucous and when she breathed you could hear the bubbling inside her. I setup an appointment with the vet, she prescribed Amakacin injections and was surprised to hear that people were giving out lowering the humidity info. After speaking with her, I spoke to a reputable burmese python breeder about it and he said the same things that she had said. After the two weeks of medication coupled with the increased humidity she showed no signs of the RI, and she is still doing great. There’s a guy that did some really good digging on burmese pythons and came up with a care sheet for them. Here’s a small piece of his info.

 I have a question.

No problem, I had gotten the humidity up and down between 80-84%. I try and run them all now between 55-65%, it get’s a little higher in the summer with my snake room being in a basement.
