 My Son and???

Please don’t think me stupid, we have a Ball Python so I am learning about those and my knowledge on all others is next to nill. I thought they told me this was a Reticulated Python and so did my kids, but they are not here right now to confirm.

This big guy was at a show in Denver a few weeks ago, my son Tristan he is 9, is the brave sole holding him. Both my son and daughter fell in love with this guy. Needless to say I did not let them bring him home. I know what all of you in this forum would say to that, but there is no way, Mom is not ready for one of these bad boys. Just look at me, I am the freaked out one in the back.

Now this is more my speed. This is Marvolo, our Ball Python. We just got him 10/20/07, he was a rescue and is doing very well, so are we.

I just wanted to share, I thought this was a pretty cool snake. Thanks for looking:)

Your kids were right that is a super tiger reticulated python, he looks about 13’-14’ it is a big step from ball pythons but once you get your first retic you will fall in love they are my favorite. If your wife cant handle something that will get 20’ the nI would consider a dwarf, they cost a little more but you will have a nice med size serpent around 10’-13’. Your sons hawk is awsome by the way.

They said he was 12’ and 55 lbs. Your pretty good!!

My husband used to have a retic and said she was great. Unfortunately he gave her over to a breeder and the breeders entire collection, including my husbands retic, was lost. He lost all power and they froze. Very tragic event

I’m the "wife" LOL, maybe I will consider this someday. They are sure beautiful snakes!

Thanks, over 6" now!!! He decided he wanted it about two years ago and has kept it since!!!

If I had heard him hissing, I would probably would have had to leave!!! Too frightening!!!

Thanks for looking and your comments. Always fun to share and hear back from everyone!!
