 Longest Reticulated Python in the US?

We have been trying to prove/disprove how long the longest Retic in captivity here in the US is. We have a Retic that is 26’+ and 307lbs (we estimate her to be closer to 28-29’ but were unable to pull her out and get a good measurment) her name is "The Giant". I really wanted to see a photo with someone for perspective. Not by any means trying to say you are tricking us at all, but 26’+ is a SERIOUS claim and a 28-29 footer is simply unheard of in a long time.
Other than that i just wanted to congrat on the snakes, they look well cared.

The tiles are 12’ tiles, it was a 30’ cage and "The Giant" Stretched accross 26 of them with a part of her body still wound. Yeah "The Super Giant" is a monster, she hasnt been quite the same after dropping her eggs though (taking a minute to get her back up to weight)

6 months for 45,000, and the coolest thing about that would just be getting you say your snake was in a zoo...lol but at the same time thats money for new projects!!!
Any way that what we are wondering, Bob’s is only roughly in the ball park of 22 foot, and on his page he says "Fluffy may be the largest snake in captivity. She’s 12 years old, captive born and tame. She weighs 310lbs, actual weight, and is somewhat over 22’ long. "
So what does that make ours? (and I know you guys want pictures to verify...working on it)

I’m confused. How long is The Giant and how long is The Super Giant?

If The Giant is 26-feet or more The Super Giant appears to be MUCH longer.

Where have these snakes been? Fluffy has been cited as the longest retic in captivity for years and now your two snakes come up and make Fluffy sound like her growth is stunted.

At least post a photo with someone holding part of your snakes. Tiles don’t mean anything. The Giant has long saddles and The Super Giant has shorter ones, so they appear to be two different snakes. But your photos don’t provide any perspective, so please post a photo that shows that.

Years ago the Pittsburg Zoo hasda retic named Gargantua that was supposed to be 28-feet long, but she’s long dead. Get some film and photos before it’s too late. If your snakes are for real, you could make some money with them. These snakes popped up out of nowhere and your photos give no perspective, so right now the skeptical part of me is thinking about the famous photo of the Loch Ness Monster -- all two feet of it. Lol

Yea I gotcha, we are working on getting some "proof" photos but it is a little hard with "The Giant" being very aggressive! "The Giant" and "The Super Giant are two different snakes! TG is 26’ at 9 yrs old and TSG is 22’ and 3 years which is why we labeled her "The Super Giant" because she is capable of reaching a much longer length then "The Giant".
We do also know that there has been larger snakes out there, but they have all come and gone! We knew that BC had said that fluffy could be the longest snake in captivity and until now he probably was.
(Who knows)
Here is the best picture of our attempt to measure out TSG


I know not the best but hey this ain’t easy man!!! the best measurement we got on her though was just under 21’ and she was not all the way stretched out. We do have a video of our attempt and as soon as I figure out how to get that on here I will.

Anything that might help you get an idea of size I am willing to attempt, but until we are more comfortable in our helpers and our ability to control the bigger girl it is going to be a minute for a good size comparable picture! She is just so hungry...lol and it is hard with her or any of the big girls because you cant feed them to calm them down to take them out cause you don’t want them to hurl, and you don’t want to add stress on to these guys...you know?

There is said to be "larger" ones but not longer...at least living! We are in the process of contacting Guinness because we were told they had one documented but have not been successful finding one in the book! and if there isn’t one in Guinness we would like to attempt a record!

I have a friend that breeds burms, and one of his females was quite long (20 somethin feet) He thought it was the largest and called guiness. they came and checked it out for a small fee (they gotta make money somewhere). it wasnt the largest, but they came and spent a day getting an accurate reading. so whether it you can measure it or not, call them, and send them a video of it with something of obvious length (a yardstick or a person) then they will measure it for you.

ps sorry bot the grammer, you try typing with a broken right arm, and two brokewn fingers on the left. it took me an hour to write this! ( for those skateboarders out there.... wear helmets and wrist guards when doing a 14 ft drop in) hehehe. seriously I set a new family record. 9 bones in one go! lol, i know not something to be proud of. but if im not proud of it, then im really pissed off.

I dont know if that one of the tsg outside is old but it only looks bit heavier and maybe a little longer than my 17ft female who is 4. but it could just be the pic.

here is my old girl Bea Aurthur, these pics were taken when she was 3 only about 15 1/2 feet, she is four now and lives with somebody else at just over 17ft and still growing like a weed.
