cheers carpondro hey do you have any tics or pythons or monitors? their ma favourites and i gaver their your favs aswell coz ive seen you on the monitor forum aswell lol im getting a pair of baby ackies in a few weeks and cant wait but when im older i want to do something like what nerd, bobclark and proexotics are doing for conservation and breeding for captivity :)
im also getting a tiger retic in a month but dont worry i have a reliable food source of L rabbits and pigs and i get £50 a week which is about $100 which is WAY enough to pay for 10 adult retics lol but i wanna breed bp’s aswell and retics, burms, afrocks, GTP’s,ETB’S, condas, papuan pythons, macklotts, timors, and HOTS!! and many many more reptiles when im older! but thats just some of the snakes lol i also wanna breed monitors and other species of lizards when im older. ive researched them since i was 6 looking on the internet and books researching every little bit and now im 15 going on 16 full of knowledge and cant wait until i get ma flat or house lol i wanna buy a plot of land with a factory and turn it into a reptile facility like bobclarks place and nerds...i dont care if i get a small house as long as the plot of land is big enough lol. if i manage to concure this gimme a bell and ill give you any retic morph and bp morph or anything lol DONT WORRY i am seriously determined to do this for a job when im older, its my ambition!!!
cheers, if ya want to talk more add ma msn, its to slow on here lol... p.i.m.p.jme@hot mail.co.uk

THANK YOU! i keep my male corn in a 3’x18’’x18’’ lxwxh viv. and i feed him a small rat every week because he is a very snake for a corn as they usually reach between and 4’-5’ and hes alomost six footer!
thanks

Thats awesome my corn’s around four feet or so not sure exactly i would love to own one that big but its pretty much luck of the draw when you are buying hatchlings. Is this your first purchase of a reticulated python? Thats a huge reponsibility that i’ll never be ready for the farthest i would ever consider going is a burm because they are less agressive but can you like describe your thought process that led to the purchase of your retic and the steps you went through to perpare for it? Also can i see a pic of the retic’s enclosure? I’ll never buy a retic but i may one day consider a burm and these things would be quite beneficial to me.

well actually MOST retics (id say about 70% - 80%) of CB or CBB and even WC hatchlings are tame!!! i hate it when i hear people who have never even encoutered a retic, say that they are agressive animals!!! only wild tics are aggressive and ive even seen one big wild retic on a tv programme that was taken out of a river and held by a idiot! lol but anyways what im trying to say is that retics are amazing animals that should not have a reputation for being aggresive but for being the most amazing snake to look after!! and i know burms are VERY tame aswell but ive seen alot of hatchlings that are aggresive! im not trying to put you off them coz they are amazing animals to work with but they have the same temperament as tics!!! ok lets move on lol ive had 5 corns but i sold three about 4 months ago so only have 2 now, but my first snake was a corn, then 2 more after 9 months of working with them i moved to a bp and a pair of beardies and 18 months of working wih them i got a retic (NOT THE BEST DECISION BUT IM A IDIOT lol) but hes coming on very well :) oh and btw im only 15 just in case you guys think im a man lol but i have researched on all reptiles since 6 on the internet and in books and now i have a huge amount of knowledge on all reptiles particullary pythons, monitors and colubrids and hots

thanks

Yeah i hope i didn’t offend you or anything i wasn’t trying to bash retic owners or anything i think its awesome you guys keep these amazing (and quite large) reptiles and i would love to own something like it, all i was saying is that personally i would feel more secure with a burm than a retic, and even then i would only get a male so i never aquire an animal that will grow so big that i can no longer control it. Haha i think i saw the tv program you are refering to...was it Austin Stevens? Anyway i totally respect you for owning a retic as long as you have the means to care for it long term i think its awesome. How about some enclosure pics?
