 Retic incubator and rack system

starting a breeding project soon and i was wondering what you guys use to incubate the eggs since theres so many and there quite a bit larger than normal snake eggs and for the hatchlings what racks do you use for them

get youself an old refridgerator or stand up freezer (Prefered), some sterilite or rubbermaid totes, two- four foot pieces of 3 inch flexwatt , 1 piece of 11 inch flexwatt and a helix thermostat. oh and some sort of hatching medium , like perlite or vermiculite.

so basically a fridge freezer with plastic shoe boxs in like used for breeding, whats flexwatt? sorry lol i dont see it in the uk we have different makes. A thermostat and vermiculite are easy enough to find though and i was wondering where i would position the tapes to ensure all the eggs hatch well

flexwatt is a type of heat tape. take the 2 pieces of 3 inch an run them up the sides of the back of the fridge/freezer and put the 11 inch on the bottom.

hey man im from near plymouth in the south west of the country, i currently have no breeding projects the retics will be my first but i own a red tail a ball a jungle carpet and a burmese thats soon gonna include several morphs and more species. in terms of morphs my only morph is a female albino burmese python who i hope to breed in a few years. they have tiger hets available and expected

and theres bobclark.com since they now ship to the uk as it happens i should be getting a pair of normals who are het for white albino


its nice to be asked this stuff but im not an expert im a future beginner (with this species) you should ask jimmy, grunt and a few others on this forum about these snakes but yeah i hope this post helps
