I was wondering if 10x4 would be ok for a pair of retics.
If not what would be?

it’s not the threat of consumption thats the biggest risk. Snakes living together are stressed as snakes naturally are solitary. Stress in this case is not regulated by the fight or flight mechanism but instead by ANS in the brain which produces cortisol a natural blood sugar that supresses the affects of the immune system and cools down the organs. Snakes in captivity are ALWAYS subjected to captive based bacteria that there immune system can fight (temperature permitted as the enzymes will not work when cold due to the cold blooded nature of reptiles). When serotonin kicks in over a long period of time the snake not only gets ill but has the serotonin in it’s system which supresses any form of healing. Snakes in the wild dont clash because they are not confined and generally dont form permenant homes. When forced to live restricted the tank size is almost never the size of a snakes usual roaming ground it is the bare requirement space for the snake to live healthy in captivity. So basically if you wanna dedicate an entire floor of your house probably even more too two snakes, heat the entire floor with the countless amounts of heaters you would need and provide substrate and water for them as opposed to a stacked pair of 7x3 or 8x3 tanks then be my guest lol.

you can argue with my points but i been keeping reptiles for 13 years now and im a biology and psychology college student so you will find im not saying it to be awkward but more because the biological stress related impact on the snake would be devastating unless stupidly large amounts of space is provided

no offense intended

I’ve heard that male retics can be very aggresssive towards eachother. Now bear in mind I’ve only heard this mentioned in talks of introducing the animals to eachother in a breeding senario, where the snakes have been cycled and are in "breeding mode" and one was thought to be female, but that risk adds a whole new level to the "you shouldn’t do this" issue. Keep your snakes in seperate cages.

well i think they should try to live in the same home and work out their differences through therapy
you know? find an individual therapist with a very long couch , and just talk it out .
they can clean up , and cook together , and you know just share meals.

how did rocky put it? " if i can change , and you can change , than we all can change!!!""
the crowd roars!!

seperate housing . it`s always been said and done that way. it`s their way in nature , why not let them live as natural as possibe? why even consider putting them in ant situation that just might make them uncomfortable?we already have them in captivity , and in a stressful situation , just for our own selfish enjoyment
