FireTail... a cool surprise

I just ordered a few normal WC retics from a company called Euroreptiles, Spain. Wild caughts make a bad purchase, they don’t eat well, they are grumpy and some are even sick... so you might ask why would someone like me who has been around herps long enough to know better, buy w.caughts (?) The answer is simple, sometimes in those shipments an interesting animal comes along.. If you are lucky enough you might end up getting something "not so normal" and i always ask my importers to send me anything they might find different.
This time i got a beauty that i will call "firetail" for the obvious reasons (check her sides). Most retics are dark towards the tail end, but this baby flames up in that area with a very bright golden colour. Really strange.. what does it reminds you of?? Any guess.. that’s right, a sunfire retic. Wow! I couldn’t see this surprise coming. Now i will wait to see, as she grows, if little FireTail loses her unique colour or if it brightens even more with each shed... i’ keep you posted ;)
