Meet Bumblebee! My first hatchling! ;)

First time I got a retic hatchling; had him probed at the vets and had to "restrain him" coz he wanted to pick a fight with the shar pei and the golden retriever the size of a man! lolz

thanks man :)

This is the pic of the hatchling’s father

My hatchling has that prominent orange pattern but it’s the stripes I’m hoping the hatchlings would inherit.

What would be the best age for this male to attempt breeding? He hatched last 06/18.

Thanks

You have a long wait ahead, my friend. Depends. Some retics are there before 3 years of age, but time will tell.
The father is very cool. Looks phillipine.
Good luck.

Thanks Jimmy ;)

And yep...they’re all Philippine (the hatchling, it’s mom and dad, and my females waiting) :D

So assuming my male is healthy and all, can I try breeding my male next year? What’s the best size for breeding when dealing with dwarf retics?

I’ll be honest, i don’t think so. Anything before 2 years is really pushing it.
Phills are known to grow a little slower than indonesians (wich doesn’t mean they are dwarves) so i really don’t know.

so basically, even if I have a 2 and 3 year old female, it’s nto advisable to have them bred to a 1.5 (18 months) year old male?

Thanks again
