 RETIC ACTING DIFFERANT

HI EVERYONE, IAM NEW TO THIS FORUM. I HAVE JUST GOT MY SELF AN ALBINO TIGER RETIC HE ONLY AN 09 HATCH LING, IV GOT HIM IN A 2 FOOT MY 2 FOOT VIV HES ONLY JUST OVER 2 FOOT HI SELF , BUT HE ACTIN DIFF BY TILTING HIS HEAD TO THE SIDE AN RUBING IT ON THE GROUND , IV RED BOUT RI , COULD ANY ONE TELL ME HOW TO CURE HIM ,? THE TEMPS FINE AN THE HUMIDITY IT 60% IV GOT HIM ON ASPEN BEDDING AT THE MOMENT SHUD I CHANGE THIS ? THANKS

Young retics do like to hide and you should deff keep his hide in there. Retics are very active so he might continue to do it even after his hide is back in. What kind of feeding schedule do you have him on?

You could prob have him on mice but you can try maybe two weener rats evey 10 days or one every 5. Little retics are usually always hungry. This might be something to help. I would atleast keep the hide in there are all times and if it continues then try feeding a little more.

He should be just fine. Sounds like he might just be a little flighty which is normal. If it gets to the point were it is rubbing his face bad and starting to show then you might have a problem. Lets give him a few days and see what he does.

I’ve seen snakes rub their heads (1) before/during shedding and (2) when they have parasites (in the latter case you’ll also see them rub their body against objects when moving).
Just to be sure I would check if mites are about to set up camp...

iv cleaned an disinfected his tank an al the cage furniture with it .an put fresh aspen beding dwn. His not doing it any more. .couldnt find no signe ov mites or nufink else. Iv had him out tonite as he jus shed . He ok nowthanks .
