Burmese or retic well i can pretty much get either of the snakes but i need some help deciding. i have experience with large boids so that isnt a problem. but the only thing is the large money difference between the burmese and the retic. the retic is 75 dollars as a baby and the bumese is 15 dollars. i live in thailand that is why they are so cheap. but i can do one or the other help me out with some opinions. i need to know the good and down sides of reticulated pythons.
i know i have posted this in 2 other forums i am just getting opinions so thanks.

Burmese or retic Both are lovely snake’s i prefer burm’s but that is only because my retic is a right nasty sod and just loves trying to get hold of my face.......only had him a week though.........and trading him for a tiger tomorrow.Never had no probs with my berm lovely snake no hassle at the moment......he is only 8ft though.

Burmese or retic I keep both snakes and would go for a retic , its just like any snake, you get nice ones and nasty ones. I have a striped tiger who is tame as a puppy , most retic’s can be snappy when young but tend to grow out of it with age and size, due to when they are small, in the wild they are prey for most things.....it just takes time and hard work oh and a snake hook for those who bite!! But they can turn out to be an awesome snake to own. i have a nasty male which i got at 3ft he is now 8ft and very tame due to being hooked trained.

Burmese or retic well if your sure you can support either one of these large snakes i would go with a retic i think they are less common and more elaborately marked than burms however with the one retic i own it used to be qiute the nipper but mellowed out with age so if you choos a retic be prepared for a few bites

Burmese or retic Log,
You obviously have not been to where their ranges overlap. I live in Thailand and have seen both in my neighborhood and I have seen far more P. reticulatus than P.m.bivittatus. You can find wild P.reticulatus living inside the city of Bangkok! You would never find a P.m.bivittatus there. P.m.bivittatus are only more common in the US pet trade.
Overall the P.m.bivittatus is far more docile in temperment than P.reticulatus, which is a main reason why they are so common in the international pet trade.
Cheers,
Michael
