Berms vs retics?i have a question Okay well, before you buy anything, make sure you do a lot of research on the snake, "Berm" is actually spelt Burm... As far as speeds of the snake, there is no real telling, because it depends on a lot of different variables. I have a Super Tiger Retic, and if you set him on the ground he usually just takes off. But usually the bigger the snake, the slower they move, or they are moving the same speed, they are just so big, it’s hard to tell.:)
I’m going to strongly advise you to head on into the Anaconda forum on here and ask as many questions as possible before even considering getting an Anaconda.
This isn’t a "burn on you" post either, I’m seriously just trying my best to help, make sure you are going to get the best snake possible, Burm, Retic, or Conda.:)
Thanks,
~Ben

Berms vs retics?i have a question well I have retics and burms and i would say the care is kinda the same. Retic tho are alot more alert and will watch what your doing in a sense!! Young Retics can be fast but only because they want to get away, i have notice once they have got used to you and calmed down temp wise there just like any other snake when moving. my retics will just stay where they are when out of the viv’s they mooch about but not at a fast pace. Burms are known as gental giants but retics are different in every sense i have 4 retics and which 3 are very tame but i still would not trust them, they have never bit or struck at me but its just something about them im sure most retic keepers will understand what im saying.
They can make very good pets if your willing to put the time and effort in. Tigers and Super Tigers i think are known for being quite tame
Hope this helps with you choosing which snake to go for and hope you understand this not very good at explaining things......lol
