they had a baby in the store too i held it once and it was realitvly calm. but i would assume if the snake is 3 foot it could send out a powerful bite. but any bit form animal can be painful! all depends on the animal if you ask me. i think the GTP is a very good looking snake but they are too high mantice for me! i have a hard enough time keeping the humdity for my ball and my carpet. |

The trick when getting bit by a snake is to not pull back, this top pic is of a baby that was actually latched on pretty good and chewing. I had a chance to go get camera, put in memory card, fresh battery and still get the pic before it decided to stop chewing. I barely felt it and was thinking it was no way tough enough to hurt me..... YET!! The bottom pic was an accidental bite from an adult male, I was treating his mouth and he started to slide off my lap, his teeth just raked through my finger and cut it quite deeply. The nerves are still damaged to this day and I’ve got a fairly wicked scar across that darn finger. This DID hurt a bit more than the regular bite. Most bites from gtps are warning strikes and not really painful at all, getting a shot at the dr. is worse. It’s when you get tagged accidentally at feeding time that they really sink their teeth into you and it hurts a bit more. Fortunately those are the most avoidable bites if you use care while feeding.

sure i could defaintly post some pics of my babies!! here is a couple of pics of my newest addtion my diamondxjungle carpet doing what she likes best and that is hanging on her tree branch!:)
I know i got to clean the glass of the tank on the outside lol!
and yes she is very nippy! but she is still a baby! and is getting better at that now i only get nipped (or i should say almost nipped) when i take her out so that is a very much an improvement!
here is some pics of my corns i have a Ghost and a Albino Motley!
and last but not least my big girl... my BP!
