Hmmmm well thats really up to you whitch you like the most! I never had an olive so I couldent tell you but my carpet is pretty cool . If you have the space and money I would get both because their both cool animals . regular coastals cost 100-200$ olives cost a little more im not 100% sure though but I would guess around 200-400$ Maybe more!
So do your reasearch and make your choice!

Olive pythons can get up to 12 feet or so. But man, they are some cool snakes when full grown :)

 Olive pythons??

i would defo chose an olive python. ive had my pair for years now.
i love my carpets, but an olive python is something special. theres something about the size and just the way they are, which attract a lot of people. they are still not very common in the trade, but they seem to be growing in popularity rapidly. there something different, and as the demand for them grows, it could be a good investement in buying a pair now and breeding.
they grow to 14 feet, alot of people will say they only grow to 12, but mines 12.9 and me and other breeders consider her a baby, as she is still growing rapidly. they have a snappy temperement when young, but that is what you expect from a coastal aswell. they need a fairly dry tank, a large water bowl is advised but humidity should not exceed 60%. 90+ on temperature , as these are from the arid kimberely and pilbara regions of aus where temps frequently exceed 110!
hope this helps
