You should look a couple post down theirs people asking the same questions and stuff.
For a baby CC you could leave him/her in a 10gal for a couple of weeks maybe months. Then I guess keep upgradeing. For a adult cages their plenty of ways to go. some people go 6x2x3 Others 4X2X3 and then I have seen 6X3X8 cages . They do like to climb so You might want to let them climb or decide not to let them. I have my 3ft carpet in a 40gal reptile breeder. I have one giant stick in their so he can climb on he does go on it every now and them. Now these are the biggest species of carpet they can grow 6-12ft. Some people say they can grow 13,14ft But I have never seen one that big. The biggest one I have seen was around 10ft. Soo yea.. As for jcp they stay smaller. But they need a lil more humidity, higher cageing. I think you might be able to house one in a 4ft cage or maybe a 40gal long tank who knows you have to wait till hes a adult. But jcps are cool I like them alot! So do some more reasearch before buying any snake. If you want something different look up these snakes
blood pythons,yellow anacondas,sand boas,super dwarf retics,dwarf retics,ball pythons.
Will this be your first snake or you have owned snakes before?

i have owned a couple over the years,,i have a RTB right now...i was also thinking of a blood python but i have heard they can be a lttle tougher to take care of.and i ahve heard yellows have a nasty temperment,,i kinda like the idea of a super dwarf retic.but i think a cc might be best for me so im pretty sure that is the one i am going to be researching and hopefully will get later this summer

Bloods arent bad you just need to tame then down and they will be nice. Yellow condas are cool snakes they arent mean again you need to tame them too. Super dwarf retics are a little more pricey then all of the other snakes I listed their around 400+$. CC are very nippy at first but after tamed down they are really cool!

so which of these three would you recomend to be the best to have cost wise.if they are young i can tame them pretty easy(cept may be the yellow) so temperment really is not as important as the husbandry demands,

1. Coastal Carpet Python
2. Blood Python
3. Yellow Conda(only a male though)

i think either of these adult sizes would be able to live in a cage that is 6x3x3(unless it would be a female conda)

Well the yellow condas get 7-11 ft not bad a female or male conda could live in a 6X3X3 I say get the yellow they wont grow 8ft in one year they grow ’’slowly’’ and they can be tame trust me. If not get the blood. coastals can still get 10ft to soo you never know with them. I have a 8months old coastal and its 3ft 2 inches. So im guessing mine will be around 8ft or soo.

Its not going to get much bigger then 9ft if 9ft at all. It could of been power feed and thats how it got big fast. Between each shed mine grew 2-5inches when I power feed then meaning 2 meals a week.
I still stand with my suggestion get a blood or short tail.
