When ready for an adult enclosure a cage 3’ wide by 2’tall x 2’ deep would be much more appropriate for a gtp rather than the extra height. Check out www.finegtps.com for most extensive care sheets on the net for these guys. They were written by Greg Maxwell who has a lot of experience with these animals, not just word of mouth repeating what others have said without actual hands on experience. |

1. A tightly sealed cage. No wire mesh on the top, or all the water vapor will evaporate. 2. Some kind of buffer that absorbs water and can slowly release it all day. This can be dirt, cocofiber, moss, etc. If there is no buffer, your levels will not be stable. The larger the mass of the buffer, the higher and more consistent your levels will be. -Chris |
