 Chondros

Ok, i am going to get a chondro soon. I started with a cage but i built it out of pine so now i have to start from scratch. I want to get things right soo... What dimensions should the cage be? I am planning to build it out of 3/4 inch oak plywood reinforced sheets with a plexiglass front. Is this ok?

I mainly only need to know dimensions

THanks
Trent

 Chondros

Chondros generally use 3 sizes of cages over their lifetimes for optimal results. Neonates and up to about a year of age do well in shoebox size tubs. juvies in about 18" cubes, adults in approximately 2’ cubes, additional width is nice for adults but not necessary, seems to be very helpful with breeding.
