 Bismarck Ringed Python

Heres a couple pictures of my bismarcks. The orange on the hatchlings fades as they get older.

Nice pics.. have neverseen (or heard of) these pythons... thanks for sharing :o)

I had to look at that pic twice... to me it apears to be pushing the prey into its mouth (neck looks thick, as if to have prey in there).
My BP does that on occasion.... funny to watch :o)

It was biting itself and constricting it at the same time. It was pretty funny to watch since he playd with his food for over an hour before eating it. When I checked on him a little while after that he was eating it from the tail end and he had ripped of one of its legs. The only other snake ive ever seen play with their food is the Mexican Black Kingsnake. My female will drag live (or dead) mice across the cage and pull on its tail and my male will constrict it, throw it in the water, and ive even seen him strike at it while it was dead.
