 Who else has got a Macklots?

Heres mine i picked up last weekend at my local reptile expo. He’s really cage defensive but a puppy once i got him out.

all together theres 3 redtails, 1 burm, 1 macklots, 1 scrub, 1 Giant vietnamese centipede, 1 chilian rose hair tarantula, 1 uromastyx, one xantic king snake, and one columbian rainbow boa. I think thats it lol.

I don’t have pictures of all of them on my computer but me and my friend have pictures of almost all of them on our my-spaces if you’d like to pm me and get that url.

But heres some I do have of my centipede and the room we keep it all in.

Dj i don’t know how nippy yours is at the early stage, but I’ve found a well feed Macklot is usually a calmer snake, just remembering not to overfeed of course.

Yeah I’ve feed him twice since I’ve had him, he’s just a angel outside of the cage. But inside he’ll get you if you give him the chance, so I just use a hook right now but I’m sure with time he’ll be fine. My friends scrub is a different story all together, it scares both of us like we’re little children. But we’ve only had them 8 days so I know they’ll calm down.

Thanks! I wanted something different and thats why i picked this little guy up. My retic is actually for sale on kingsnake right now thru coldblooded novilties. I’m trying to get my boas breeding soon so i can have some babies.

I didn’t like my retic, I loved him! But he’s illegal int he county I live in so, it’s the best choice right now. Yeah macklots are a really good addition to any collection IMO. I’ve wanted bloods before but right now I’ve been into longer more slender snakes for some odd reason.

I’d really like to have one or two, but there price is a little higher than most of the others I’ve been wanting. I’ll most likely get one the next time the show comes around, there just beautiful snakes. I know I seen a ETB at the show with a horrible attitude and the way the guy had it’s head you could see all of it’s extremely large teeth sticking out, and this was only a 3 or 4 footer! Looks like it would give a nasty bite but I’ve heard chonros had a better attitude, and I can take a little pain ;)
