 I could use some help

Hello every one my name is matt. i am looking into getting another snake and i narrowed my decision down to either a carpet python, Amethystine (scrub) python, or a blood python.

my first question is wich locality of carpet python gets the largest. i would also like to know how people who own these species like them.

Hey matt!
Well im pretty sure the Coastal Carpet python gets the largest I own a 3 ft 4 inch coastal myself he is around 9 months old and growing FAST! Babys can be nippy but after a while they are really cool!
Out of all my snakes my Coastal Carpet is my fav snake!
Other carpets are Iran Jaya carpets,Jungle carpets, and some other type ( not too much of a carpet expert here )
I have some experieince with blood pythons dont own one yet but plan on buying on sometime soon...
Babys can be pretty nippy too but after a while they will eventually calm down... They get a bad rep from being mean/agressive but again with some time the juviniles will calm down! I even played with an large female that was around 3 1/2 ft that wasent usually played with and I had no problems with her she was calm and nice as can be! They can get pretty thick I think they can get big enought to eat like 4lb rabbits ( not sure you have to ask the people on the blood python forum or other people with adult bloods ) Theirs also differnt types of blood pythons they are seperated into blood pythons and short tailed pythons they look very similar too...
Theirs black bloods red bloods borneo bloods and I think some differnt morphs and differnt locals ( theirs albinos!!! )...
As for scrub pythons I have never owned one but I hear they arent the snakes to play with soo much alot of scrub owners I know use hooks to properly handdle them and they turn out to be hook trained....
Theirs also differnt types of scrub pythons and they grow differnt sizes too!!!
So if you narrowed you decision down to these three you should do research on all of them before you buy any....
Some other cool snakes to own are
Yellow Anacondas ( if you have some experience and you read up ALOT about them you will have a good experience )
Brazilian Rainbow boas ( Another cool boa, they can get pretty big I think up to 6ft and are really strong! )
Hognose snake ( rear fanged stay small and are cool! )
Theirs plent of snakes out their soo before you decide on what you want make sure you want it alot!
Allways remember to reasearch the animal before you buy it!

No problem just trying to help!
Well some other arboreal snakes are Black rat snakes, emeral tree boas, and green tree pythons these are more arboreal species... Carpets are semi arboreal and I think scrubs are too.... If your looking for a more arboreal carpet look into jungle carpets...

Actually my buddy just got a scrub and we were doing some research on it, it’s Australia’s largest snakes and can reach lengths over 20 foot! and it’s one of the nastiest little snakes we’ve ever had to deal with. But my nephew just got him a baby coastal carpet and it seems like it’s a great snake, and i believe costals are the biggest of the carpets reaching up to a MAX of 15 ft.

Temper is very nice but nippy as babys... As for feeding mine has never missed a meal! I think some can be picky eaters though.

Retics are great snakes, I’ve had mine over two years and he’s never missed a mean or has he ever bit me. They usually get a bad reputation but my buddys scrub is a really nippy snakes, but is a fantastic feeder. You have to make sure you really are ready for a retic, and you need to make sure there legal to own where you live.

Cool cool well im saying picky eaters because of jackasp big coastal he has a story he can tell u about the problems he went through with him lol im pretty sure it him.
Retics are cool but they get big and are very very strong! But theirs also ’’dwarf’’ retics and ’’super dwarf’’ retics with is cool! I hope to get some in the future. But I would like to work on localitys first ad then work on some morphs.
