You are 15 and you have all this stuff ? how do you care for it ? how do you get the money ? I have an adult savannah, 2 leopard geckos, a childrens python, and a florida snapping turtle and im tapped out. I sure hope you have the room for all that stuff. A full grown savannah needs a minimum of an 8x4x4 enclosure and the feeding bill for him when hes an adult will be a lot ... and i can’t even imagine the cage needed for a full grown retic and afrock. I’m sorry but i just don’t see how at 15 you can propelry care for everything you have. I think you are waaayy over your head.

all im saying is you have some big animals that right now are just babys. the afrock, retic, savannah and tegu all get big and your going to have a massive feeding bill and your going to have 4 very large custom made enclosures that aren’t anywhere close to cheep. they look good for now but they are all still babys... keep us updated im interested to see how things go for you(and them)... good luck.

how can you tell they are all taken care of ? they are all still babies ! I’d love to see some enclosure set ups. how about one of your savannah monitor enclosure id love to see pics of it. I’m not giving him grief and im not mad. I’m just puzzled and curious.

I can guarantee my reptiles are well taken care of. I havent had a snake refuse a meal yet. Alll my snakes eat every 4-5 days for the small ones and ever 8-10 for the boas. Not one refusal. Ill take care of my herps how i want to and im open to any advice given by EXPERIENCED people. I took that from one of your posts asking how to take care of your childrens python. I will keep you updated with my progress and yes all of my reptiles.. Thanks

haha i just got him, i’ve never had a childrens python before, so sorry i asked for advice ? haha and you are not getting the point, yes they are all well taken care of NOW when they can still fit into 20 an 30 gallon fish aquariums. how about when you need 4 enclosers 8x4 foot or bigger ? do you have an extra 128 sq ft ? i just don’t think you realize how much time, space, and money you have on your hands just waiting to blow up in your face. none the less all this at your young age ? what are your plans for when collage comes around ?

He only has 2 snakes that get extremely large, all the others are beginner snakes. He should have no problem.

i know i figured those in. afrock will need a large enclosure, retic will, savannah will, and so will the tegu. not to mention the other boas he has you can’t keep those in anything small. I mean im glad he has all the animals. hell yea man im all about young people getting them and learning about reptiles and responsibility and all that. I’m just concerned for the animals well being as they get older. I know now they are fine but you just need to look down the road. I don’t want a savannah living in a 55 its whole life or some other stuff like that. I just hope he knows what hes doing with all these large animals and has all the money, time, and space for when they get bigger, and a plan for what hes going to do when he goes to collage or when life throws him a curve ball.

i believe you can take care of them becuase if you are 15 and you have room just for them

tpriem 10, I’m sure you know how to and are looking after your reptiles well BUT how far into the future have you looked. I do not know much about the monitors but did notice that you have two boids that should be kept by experienced keepers. If you plan too keep these snakes all their life how do you know what problems you may encounter 20+ years down the line.....money, space, landlords, girlfriends, university, jobs...to name a few. In my opinion unless you have the special circumstances that allows you to find good homes for or care for two 15ft snakes in the future you should not get them.
