That Solomon Is ground boa looks interesting. I’ve never seen one at a show or anywhere other than a book. What is it like in captivity? |

Candoia are very interesting little snakes. Some are really nasty, some are absolute sweethearts. Thankfully mine is nice lol... she’s very slow moving and deliberate. Their diet varies from rodents (if you’re lucky) to frogs, anoles and geckos. They have keeled scales, a flattened head and just like any other ground boa, they love borrowing. They like cooler temperatures (low 80s) and about 50-60% humidity. Females can be up for 4 feet, males about 2 feet. Very easy to care for, and very, very unique little guys :). |
