I have a Tri-Stripe Bredli (male, I think). He’s around 6’-6" and as docile as a bunny. He seems to enjoy being handled and does not like going back in his cage. These snakes don’t have the looks of the normal phase, but they are beautiful in their own right.

Your guy is a MONSTER! I can’t wait until mine is that thick :) Don’t you just love how calm they are? I’ve turned people that have hated snakes into lovers just by letting them play with my Bredli. They just have such a cool nature about them. Gotta love those aussie pythons ;) |

He is a very calm snake. I’ve heard that you could actually handle them in the wild and they will seldom bite. If it weren’t for their size, strength and activity levels, they would be a great beginner snake. I have had Balls (pythons that is), Burmese, Bloods, Boa Constictors, Garters and a Dumerils. They have all been great and I have never been bitten. But, my Bredli and my big, female Burmese are the 2 snakes that I have trusted the most. When you keep snakes long enough, you begin to understand them and you can read them. They are all individuals and have their quirks, but I never got a bad vibe from my Burmese or my Bredli. How well does your snake eat? Cricket needs to be in a brown paper shopping bag with a fresh killed rat for about 6 hours before he will take them. It isn’t the easiest situation, but it could be worse. I don’t mind. He pays me back with his looks and temperment. Yes, his name is Cricket. I wanted to give him a name that would disarm people and make them feel comfortable with him. I have a male Mastiff who is bigger than most people and his name is "Teddy". The name disarms people. They see a dog who could easily kill them and their first reaction is fear. When they hear his name, they want to get to know him. When they do get to know him, they understand the name behind the huge, imposing animal. He is a sweet, sweet dog. I was going for the same thing when I named "Cricket". Anyway, keep the pics coming. Your snake is beautiful. D |

I only have my Bredli and a really nice yearling Dumerils right now. I also have a very tame 2 year old snapping turtle, 2 yellow Labrador Retrievers and, the love of my life, my almost 2 year old male brindle English Mastiff. D |
