I don’t know anything about morphs, but if you want a hardy moderate-sized rat snake, check out the Baird’s and Everglades subspecies.

Well call me bias but I think the best snake to get as far as rat’s go is a lucy, I think they are really easy to take care of, exactly the same setups as corns but I think they are more entertaining, always active either climbing or burrowing and once they calm down as they get older they turn are the coolest little snakes :)

A leucy is not a kind of snake...it refers to a partricular color of snake (like amel, anery, ghost etc etc). There are leucistic(lucy) texas rat snakes, lucy black rat snakes..etc. Leucism just refers to the coloring of a snake and is not a particular species of snake. Which type do you have? The most common leucy’s are the leucistic Texas Rat snake.

grey rat is emory grouing, so nearly identical texture of corn, but it is much more active. can be nippier but it not bad. and the bites dont hurt anyways lol.

The picture you have posted....is that a rat snake? I found a snake while I was out running .... thought it was a boa or a bh....the picture that you have is the same snake that I have.....can you tell me the name of it ... what it eats.....how big does it get....(the one I have is about 3’) ... It was basking in the sun on the path...I picked it up...it didn’t try to get away....should I have left it there?..do the live in cold areas?.......I have been treating this as if it was bs or a boa....(the markings are almost the same)...so glad I found this picture...let me know what you can about this snake....P.S.....It is not a nasty snake...never tried to bite...some of the rat snakes are nasty..right?....why isn’t this one nasty....thanks...
