She got out! HELP My son’s corn snake escaped a few years ago. We looked in every dark, quiet space we could find. Finally found the snake in one of my wife’s shoes. Why the snake left my son’s room, went across the house, into our bedroom and into our closet is a mystery. But, my recommendation is to look in every dark, warm, quiet place you can find.
Next cage lock may need to be 7-year old proof. It was my son who left the lid unlatched when his snake got out.

She got out! HELP Ok. We have looked in every room, shoe and hole we can find. I even asked the kid next door to check his house! I am moving soon and don’t want to leave her...I am loosing hope fast! Any other ideas? I looked up baiting a snake but some of the sites are for "pest problems" {glue boards and traps...very crule!} I am open for anything!
And yes her next tank is 7 yr old proof!!! He is in big poo poo..lol!

She got out! HELP "Here Snakey Snakey Snakey" hee!!! sorry to hear that. Try putting a couple fuzzies in a 2 liter with some bedding in it as well and have half the 2 liter on a heat pad so when the snake comes in hell come for the mice but stay for the warmth, I tried this once and with a wild caught when i was a little kid. I didnt work directly but when a woke up in the middle of the night i saw him eyeing the contraption that i had created, and I snagged him up.

She got out! HELP
Well an update on this post is that thismorning I found my girl! She was just sitting in the kitchen floor looking up at me like "Ok got food?" No injurys, no biting at me....nothing! She made it from Pa to Ky in a box I think! Then just popped up like she was never gone. Even her weight is good? As small as she is the only thing I can think of is crickets that she could get to easy. We have a beardie and a sudan plated lizard that eat them so we keep a good stock. And a rose hair tranch. Anyway thanks for all your ideas and help. I just wanted to tell you shes ok and back in her tank!

She got out! HELP She was found and I posted that on 3-19-08. Its ok though, I keep all the info I get on here in case another escape attempt is tried! She is growing like a weed. We also found out we had {I say had} a mouse in the house. She took care of the babies and I got the mom. Now I have to get her re-checked by the vet incase of internal "bugs".
On a side note: I let the mom mouse go in the country. FAR away from any house but tons of barns she can hide in. I didn’t have the heart to bump her off.
