Taiwan beauty snakes = rat snake?

I am reserching this breed and some sites say it is the largest rat snake. I want to know if anyone here knows about them first hand. I like to get all the infomation I need before I buy.
How big of a starter viv do I need? And are they good pets?

I don’t have Taiwan Beauty Snakes but i do have Blue Beauty snakes. They are similar. The Tai get a little bigger than the Blues plus they get thicker and are a little calmer from what i understand. Although by blues are both easily managable. My male is over 8’7" and weighs about 1200g give or take. There are several people here that have Tai Beauty snakes. They keep similar to most ratsnakes, room temp, average humidity, cage at least half length of snake (i prefer longer). My blues love to climb so i like to give them space. My adult male is in a 5’6" x 2’ x3’6" with an upper and lower hide. He also LOVES his to soak in his water dish, my female almost never soaks. They are VERY active and have VERY active metabolisms. Wonderful underappreciated snakes if you ask me.

Hi There, I have a pair of Tai’s. They are both about 6,5 feet in length and are very calm and docile.
I have personally seen a Tai that is 9,4 feet long and have posted a Pic on cornsnakes.com of it a while ago.
The Tai is a very beautiful snake with a calm temperament when grown up, eats 1 x large rat every 7 - 9 days, likes a large viv and needs a large water bowl in which it will lay for days at a time.
Breeding habits are the same as for other Rat / Corn snakes and will lay between 10 and 15 eggs.
They do tend to like climbing from time to time as well.
Care is the same as for Corn snakes.
I hope this helps.

Ciao

We have a Tai, and as has been mentioned in the replies, he is very docile. Getting big as well, ours is a little short of 9’. Our Tai is a fussy eater and won’t eat rats or hamsters on their own, we have found the best thing to do is tempt him with a chick to stimulate his feeding response then give him a rat with a chick stitched to it. Seems to work well and he eats fortnightly. Our viv is 4’8’’x 2’ x 18’’. For substrate we use normal newspaper and he’s fine. Though ours doesn’t soak, he does like to have a high humidity. We posted some pics of him just last week, see ’just keeps growing’
