 Eggs for food?

Hi, I was wondering for any of us who have parents who don’t like mice in the freezer could you use eggs as food for a black rat?

They can eat eggs and be just fine but they are not as nutritional as mice. The gut contents of mice (the food the mouse ate before being eaten by the snake) are where the snake gets all the vitamins/minerals they need. The worse part about an egg diet is the very soft and very smelly stools as well.

Totally agree.

Eggs are great as a dietary additive but lack enough nutrition for a steady diet. Probably most eggs consumed in the wild have more protein in them as they contain bird or reptile embryos. Our supermarket eggs aren’t even supposed to have blood spots in them.
