 Dead

i saw a dead ratsnake today, only about 10 inches long and it was not killed by a person.it was in the woods near the stream under a tall tree and there were some scales missing and peck-like marks. i have been thinking, if it went into a bird’s nest and tried to eat the eggs or chicks, would the mother bird start pecking at it so it fell out of the tree and broke it’s ribs/back?
