 Chicken egg diet

I recently caught а 5 ft gray rat snake. He killed two of my 4wk old chickens. He is confined to the snakebox for now, and I will release him later. He’s eating 2 chicken eggs every 2-3 days. I don’t have anything else to feed him. How long he can he live on a chicken egg diet without harming him? I could incubate eggs a couple of weeks to change his diet, to give him eggs with these almost developed embryo’s inside.

You can do that for a little bit longer, but eggs dont have the proper nutrients in them to be a main diet.
He needs to eat more nutricious things like birds, rats, chicks and other snakes.

Your best bet is to let him go as soon as possible
(if you deside to keep him, feel free to PM me about their care and diet)
Good Luck!

I am not going to keep him, I’m just keeping him contained for now, or at least untill my chickens get bigger. But
if anybody wants him - I would be happy to give him away. He is very gentle
(didn’t strike) and looks like a good eater. It has been a really bad year for snakes.
- I have caught and relocated 5 of them so far. Some were very gentle and would
make a good pets. These pictures were taken of the 4 ft snake - he’s the most
gentle snake I ever seen :)

The one I have now is a gray rat snake 5+ ft long (my first post was about him). I live NC, about 40 miles from Raleigh. I don’t have a picture of this one, but I can make one later.

I wouldnt know....
but lets make it up now!
how about,
a BLEY ratsnake
lol just kidding

But here is how it goes, technically grey+black= a intergrade snake (or hybrid)
BUT the yellow+black= intergrade happens so often in the wild there are lots of them. and they breed to eachother and get second generation babies. They are especially bred in captivity because of their uniqness. So people just call them "the intergrade rat" and some notify them as their own species not official though.

So there you have it. sry for the confusion
