 Eggs

We found some eggs about a month ago and i dont know what they are. Im pretty sure there black rats becouse thats all ive ever seen around here. They were to big for lizards and there were to many for a box turtle. We live in the mountains of West Virginia so they might be rattlesnakes but ive never seen any up here. My dad let me take one. What sould I do with it?

 Eggs

What he is saying is that after the embryo starts developing inside the egg, the head is near the top surface. When you move eggs you need to be carefull not to rotate them because if you turn them upside down then the embryo can drown inside the egg.

BTW, rattlesnakes do not lay eggs.
