I would say that sounds like a really cool idea if ya set aside all the given rules of keeping snakes of course. A good experiment in racial harmony. LOL!!! And if they eat each other it will be proof that their will never be piece on earth. ha!

i dont think it would pose any problem. just keep them well fed. i have a question for you in regards to the sex of each snake. are they the same sex? i wouldn’t recommend putting them together if they are a male and female. this could pose a problem down the road because of possibilities of hybridization. there is no room in this world for hybrids they are a waste. you might not understand now but if you get serious about the hobby then you will realize the irony of this rule of thumb for all pet owners. its not only a hobby but a preservation of species as well. with that said good luck!

1 cage=1 snake, unless breeding but you aren’t supposed to keep them together longer than the breeding period.

There are a few good reasons for this. If a snake has parasites/respiratory infection/ other contagious problems, it’s only a matter of time before the other snake gets it also. One snake could regurgitate and you might not be able to tell who it came from (especially if the lump from feeding has already gone down), not to mention snake vomit is NASTY and very acidic. It’s one thing to have one snake covered in its own vomit, but two is even more of a hassle...

Basically it’s just not recommended. I was at a show this year and a lot of people asked the people working the booths if you can keep multiple snakes together. The answer they all gave was a big fat no.

Oh man. Here comes the cohabitation argument again. Let’s put it this way. I’ve had two female corn snakes and two female ball pythons in the same cages for years and there has never been a problem. seperate them for feeding. Done. A male and a female are likely to mate and if done prematurely could result in the death of your female. Two males often have dominance issues. Two girls are fine.
