hey I have had my (wild caught ) black rat for over 13 years now. and she ben a great pet ( guessing she about 15+ now) she was agood 3 ft long and about 2 inches around when i got her.. I have seen inthe last 4 weeks roughly that her eyes have sucken in. it was jsut the one side but now the othe rside doen it. I though it was just her getting ready to shed and was a littel dry ( thisis a snake that loved water all her life) but I took a closer look at her this mornign whiel I was cage cleannigand everything.. I know that a whiel back they had a light blue to them (like you see in shed and in some animals if they blind) that never went away but the eyes have actually sucken in ( like the moisture gone out of them ) it like her eyes went from ( looking to a ) look. I am worryed some because I figuring she gonigo t pass away ( heck this poor snake never had ana easy life even with me .) I also know shegetting old even by reptile standards. I know she still eats, bites, and will crap in her water bowel to make me mad lol. I am just wonder what the deal may be with her.
