Building an enclosure for a leucistic texas rat snake

Hey everyone, I’m new here, but I won’t waste your time with a long introduction, lol.

After having recently lost my four month old blizzard Corn snake I’m looking at other snakes and am considering the leucistic texas rat snake. I have a 10 gallon and 15 gallon tank but I know I’d need a bigger one for a fully grown rat snake, so I’m considering building one with the help of my father.

So my question is, what do you guys suggest? In regards to dimensions or anything else, it’d be really helpful, thanks =)

I would highly recommend a leucistic texas rat snake. We have one and he is beautiful. He is just a baby but is very calm and a great eater. As far as building a cage, there are some neat ideas and pictures in the Cages and Enclosures Forum here. You can make homemade cages really cool.

Thank you. Before I got my Corn snake I had been considering a Texas rat snake and since, unfortunately, my Corn is gone I’d like to get a texas rat this time.
