 Escaped Snakes

My corn snake and my yellow rat snake escaped about two weeks ago, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about recapturing them.
They are quite near and dear to me, so I’d appreciate any advice!
Thanks, Sammy

Get a wire cage where the holes are big enough for the snake to get through but aren’t big enough for a prey item to get through. The snake if its hungry will go into the cage eat the prey and not be able to squeeze back though. They will have been caught!

Thank you for the help,
I just found my corn.
He was going to be the hardest to locate out of the two, so I’m sure I’ll be finding my yellow rat later.

clean your whole place but leave a pile of dirty laundry in the warmest corner of your place. check it every so often. It sounds nasty but if you use dirty clothes they get attracted to your smell. My rat snake plays in my laundry hamper all the time. They love it.

good luck

Also, they love bookshelves. And you’d be amazed how tiny and flat an area they can be comfortable in, either between the books themselves, or behind them, or even under, behind, or on top of the actual shelf. I once lost a baby pine snake for three weeks before he got hungry and came back and sat on top of his cage waiting for me to feed him. A couple years later I was flicking through a magazine that had been on the shelf near his cage, and I found a tiny little shed snakeskin in it.

Under the fridge is the most likely place....heat, water, cramped areas.... Also look around flower pots.
