#1934577 My name View Profile	Wheezing my yellow rat has developed some kind of wheezing like he has a stuffy nose or something. I know that could be a sign of an RI but should I get him to the vet asap or should I just watch it for a few days and see where it goes?

In the long run if they don’t have a cool end it’s bad for their longevity, basically because with all their parts working faster all the time it wears everything out, but in the short run it’s a good way to maximize their immune system. Still, you’ll probably need to do a series of injections. It’s not as rough on them as it sounds. Do the first one at the vet, under professional supervision, and you’ll be fine from there.
