No, they are not even closely related, tiger rats are just called ratsnakes, they are not in the general ratsnake genus Elaphe.
And Tiger ratsnakes get 11’ long, it will eat things twice as big as a black ratsnake weekly.
And there are many other reasons you shouldn’t house them together, but I won’t go into those.
So my answer is no, it would result in much shorter lives in both snakes.
Good Luck with them!

Yeah, that sums it up pretty well. My suggestion is that you give me the tiger rat. And the cage. Oh, and maybe another cage. With the black rat in it. But, especially... give me the tiger rat.

lol. cute. If these guys say no then I have to agree. I had luck with mine but luck was all I had and mine are closely related. I recommend different cages aswell but I am sure that if you catch them both on a good and comfortable day (after they are well fed) you may be able to hold them at the same time. Here, It may be far from you but these are my snake guys and they are REALLY GOOD at what they do. (925)671-9106. They are open till 630 west coast time. They are always good for answering questions and when my turtle was on his deathbed, they told me how to save him. Everything they have ever told me worked. Good luck!

Post pictures!
