UUUUHHHHHHHGGG, Twin Spotted Ratsnake project fail 2009.

My gravid twin spotted rat snake was found a week or two ago laying in the water bowl (unexpected eggs, well two days after pre lay instead of 11). The only fertile egg was in the water bowl, and she has slowly but surely, been laying slugs all up until yesterday. 10 eggs, 9 duds, 1 drowned fertile. It was off of stored sperm so I’m not all that stunned to have low fertility rates.
Oh well, I’ll try again 2010.

Thanks, I really am optimistic about the breeding of twin spots. They are undiscovered in our american pet trade. Awesome looking animals that more people need to have instead of corn snakes.
